Angela has been vaccinated against COVID-19, has been boosted, and takes precautions seriously as we navigate in the world with a pandemic.
NOW SEEING CLIENTS IN THE OFFICE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
Although there is not mandate in place for precautions and procedures, Alive & Well-Being continues to employ systems and measures to maintain a clean and safe space. All processes and procedures were created in an effort to keep each client safe, the practitioners safe and to reduce the spread of COVID-19 (and other illnesses) in our community.
New and Expanded Policies and Procedures:
The door to our building is locked for safety and security at the building. I will call/text you when it is time for your appointment or I will meet you at the front door. If someone else happens to be there to open the door, feel free to come on into the waiting room and have a seat.
Common Precautions: Upon entry to the building, it is recommended that you properly wash your hands and to remove your shoes prior to entering my office. Hand sanitizer will also be available for use inside the office.
Masks: Wearing a mask in the common spaces of The Marine Street Wellness Center is recommended and encouraged. However, it is up to you if you wish wear during your session.
Your Massage Therapist will be wearing a surgical mask throughout your session.
There will be a minimum of 30 minutes between each session to allow for proper cleaning and air circulation. All hard and touched surfaces in the office will be cleaned in between each session using an EPA approved medical-grade disinfectant. A cleaning and disinfection log will be available upon request.
There is a window in the office: If requested, a window in the office will be left open to circulate air throughout each session (unless outside noise or temperature causes interference or privacy cannot be maintained).
A HEPA purifier has been added to the space that cleans the air up to .03 microns every 15 minutes. This has been added to further aid the HVAC system at the building and to supplement the air circulation of having the window open during your session.
Hand (and arm) washing: As I always have, I will be washing my hands (and arms actually) methodically prior to and directly following all sessions. If you wish for me to wear gloves during your session, I am happy to do so upon request.
Payments can be made via Venmo @Angela-Laurita or by cash or personal check. Hand washing and/or hand sanitizing will immediately follow any touching of money/check exchange should you choose that option. Packages of 6 sessions can be purchased in advance if you wish to minimize your payments and will come at a discount.
Any client exhibiting signs or symptoms of COVID-19 will not be treated and will be asked to reschedule. Additionally, if you have been exposed to COVID-19 (or any other communicable illness) please postpone your session until there is no longer a risk of spreading this to your therapists and/or others in the building. The late-cancellation fee will be waived in cases of illness or exposure; however, at least 24 hours notice is appreciated. This is a small business and canceling last minute hinders our ability to remain open.
Did you know that some massage therapists are trained to work inside of your mouth? Much to the surprise of many, I am one of those therapists and I often work on the muscles inside of my clients’ mouths. This can be helpful for post-dental work recovery, TMJD, headaches and so much more.
